Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, June 28 at 5 p.m. with wines from Prunotto by Antinori. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of imaginative, authentic Italian small plates created by Ferraro’s executive chef Mimmo Ferraro.
The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for more than six centuries in Italy. In 1385 Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri,” the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. Throughout its history, twenty-six generations long, the Antinori family has managed the business directly, making innovative and sometimes bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for traditions and the environment.
Taste & Learn attendees will begin with the Barbera d’Asti Fiulot, a lively and fruit-forward red wine bursting with notes of ripe red cherry, raspberry and a hint of spice. Next is the Langhe Nebbiolo Occhetti, offering layers of rose petals, wild strawberries and hints of white pepper with a silky tannin structure. The Barbaresco 2020 showcases the power and finesse of this renowned appellation, revealing complex aromas of dried violets, red currant and tobacco. Lastly, guests will conclude with the Moscato d’Asti, a beautifully fragrant and lightly sparkling wine featuring enticing notes of white peach, orange blossom and honey, delivering a delicate sweetness with vibrant freshness.
“Ferraro’s is all about authenticity, and Prunotto by Antinori embodies everything that makes Italian wine extraordinary,” said Mimmo Ferraro, executive chef, Ferraro’s. “These wines carry centuries of heritage, and when paired with our menu, they create an experience that’s rare to find outside of Italy.”
