Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 5 p.m. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of imaginative, authentic Italian small plates created by Ferraro’s Executive Chef Mimmo Ferraro.
The January Taste & Learn event spotlights wines from Greg Linn. Hailing from a loving Sicilian household in New Jersey, Linn’s passion for wine runs in the family. Since launching Greg Linn Wines in 2006, he has acquired acclaim for producing noteworthy pinot noir, chardonnay and syrah.
Taste & Learn attendees will begin the tasting with Ghost, an exquisitely crisp chardonnay from California’s central coast. Second on the menu is the Langhe Nebbiolo, a decadent red wine with hints of red cherry, dried herbs, anise and truffle. Next is the Barbaresco, an intense and fruity red with notes of rich spice, tobacco and black cherry. Lastly, guests will conclude the tasting with Barolo from Northern Italy, which is ideally paired with red meat.
“We are thrilled to kick off the new year with a superb fusion of flavors featuring the extraordinary wines of Greg Linn,” said Mimmo Ferraro, executive chef, Ferraro’s. “The event will spotlight an array of wines from California to Italy, making for an unforgettable tasting journey.”
