Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m., for an exclusive truffle dinner featuring the world-renowned wines of La Spinetta. Making this evening truly remarkable, Giorgio Rivetti, one of Italy’s premier winemakers and the owner of La Spinetta, will be in attendance for one night only.
As one of only eight restaurants in the U.S. awarded the prestigious Tre Forchette (Three Forks) by Gambero Rosso, this exceptional menu is sure to please. Executive Chef, Mimmo Ferraro has masterfully crafted a four-course menu that showcases the finest Italian truffles and seasonal ingredients.
“Italian white truffles are widely regarded as the most distinctive of all truffles, so we look forward to serving each guest three decadent dishes with the season’s most indulgent ingredient,” said Mimmo Ferraro, executive chef, Ferraro’s. “Combining this rare and highly sought-after ingredient with the finest wines from La Spinetta will create an unforgettable culinary experience.”
La Spinetta is one of Italy’s most prestigious wineries, renowned for producing exceptional, high-quality wines reflecting the distinct character of the Piedmont and Tuscany regions. At this extraordinary dinner, guests will savor exceptional wines whose prices range from $500-$700 per bottle, paired with the finest Italian white and black truffles. In addition to La Spinetta’s celebrated wines, the evening will also showcase Rivetti’s sparkling Metodo Classico from his Contratto winery, which rivals the best champagnes of England.
Guests will begin the tasting with a welcome toast featuring Alta Langa “For England” Pas Dosé2017, an elegant sparkling wine with notes of green apple and citrus zest. Next is the Timorasso 2022, offering a vibrant and complex palate with notes of ripe pear, white peach and golden apple, balanced by bright acidity and a refreshing citrus finish. Third on the menu is the Bordini 2020, featuring rich aromas of red cherry, plum and wild berries, complemented by dried herbs, tobacco and silky tannins. Fourth is Barbaresco Starderi 2015, a bold and expressive wine featuring concentrated flavors of dark cherry and blackberry, with earthy undertones and hints of licorice. Fifth, the Campe 2007 is a powerful Barolo offering intense dark fruit flavors such as black cherry and fig, alongside earthy tobacco and truffle notes. Lastly, Moscato d’Asti Biancosoprano 2023 offers a fragrant and lightly effervescent wine with aromas of ripe peach.
