Ferraro’s invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, June 18 at 5 p.m. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting and education event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of expertly prepared, authentic Italian small plates crafted by Chef Mimmo Ferraro.
The June Taste & Learn event spotlights wines from Santa Margherita USA. Founded in 1935, Santa Margherita has been contributing to the international success of premium Italian wines for more than 80 years. Guests will begin the tasting with a 2020 Kettmeir Pinot Bianco, a floral and fruity white wine with a hint of green apples. Second on the menu is the 2016 Lamole di Lamole Chianti Classico Riserva, a warm, deep ruby-red wine featuring hints of iris and spicy tones. Next, the 2017 Cantina Mesa Carignano del Sulcis Riserva “Buio Buio” has a complex nose of ripe red berries, balsamic and savory notes. Lastly, guests will enjoy the 2016 Masi Costasera Amarone Classico, a velvety red wine created using an ancient Roman winemaking method.
“Santa Margherita is one of the country’s top food and wine culture leaders,” said Gino Ferraro, owner, Ferraro’s. “We are thrilled to share four of their most sensational wines paired with delicious Italian dishes at our next Taste & Learn.”
