Ciao, i miei amici … hello, again, my friends!
You will not believe what we have planned for our next Taste & Learn wine dinner. First of all, it will be held on May 25th @ 5 pm – which is National Wine Day, in case you weren’t aware. What better way to spend such an important national holiday than at Ferraro’s, home to the best Italian wine collection in North America?
In honor of that special occasion—and because I simply feel like spoiling you, my fellow wine lovers—we will be enjoying wines from Zyme, an exceptional winery located near the romantic city of Verona in northern Italy’s Veneto region. Situated on a centuries-old sandstone quarry, the winery contains an ancient cavern where the wines are left to mature. The winemaker, Celestino Gaspari, maintains a reverence for nature and a belief in man’s responsibility to live in eco-harmony with the earth. His wines reflect the history of the Valpolicella area, while incorporating innovation and experimentation with new wines that enhance and renew the local terroir. The resulting vintages are among the best you will taste in all of Italy.
I can hardly believe it myself, but at this event we will be pouring one Zyme’s most incomparable wines, the Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, which retails for nearly $200. You won’t want to miss this one!
As always, our creative Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo has prepared amazing accompaniments to the evening’s wines. Our menu follows:
From Black to White
Baccala
Salted cod croquette, beluga lentil, savory polenta
Valpolicella Classico Superiore
Pan Mojo
Potato-squash soup
Valpolicella “Reverie”
Risotto al tastasal
Sausage-lard risotto, pecorino cheese
Amarone Classico Della Valpolicella
Maialino croccante
Braised pork belly, ubriaco cheese, artichokes
Finally, for those of you who attended April’s Taste & Learn, I want to thank you for your courteous attention to our presenter. We had excellent feedback about the quality of the instruction, as well as the wines and the cuisine. We look forward to another informative and indulgent event on May 25 and I look forward to welcoming you soon.
At only $75 per person (tax & gratuity included) this is an incredible deal, so don’t wait—reserve your space today by calling (702) 364-5300 or clicking here.
Salute!
