I’m pleased to announce our next Taste & Learn event will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. Please note the change to our typical day of the week. We’ve adjusted for this month only to accommodate the schedule of the representative from our featured winery, Umani Ronchi, which hails from the Marche and Abruzzo regions of Italy.
Trust me when I say the change is worth it! Umani Ronchi is known for award-winning, high-quality wines such as its Verdicchio Vecchie Vigne and Pelago, both of which we will enjoy that evening. All this winery’s vineyards are farmed organically, a practice pursued by the vintners for technological rather than ideological reasons. Organic farming demands balance in nature and a range of crops, trees, and herbs to create a biodiverse environment, which ensures the vines produce the best fruit and, consequently, superior wines.
Of course, our talented, award-winning Chef Francesco DiCaudo has created four tempting small plates to complement our spotlighted wines. The full menu for September’s Taste & Learn will include:
